Digital Story Reflection

Digital Story Reflection

The digital story assignment was to make a one-minute movie out of pictures and music. It was to be a story about any event or person anything you wanted, and tell the story with the pictures and your recorded voice.
My story was about my grandmother I described her and my mother in it my mother is her daughter. What she looked like and some things she says and does like singing songs to me and how she is afraid of snakes. I used a combination of pictures of my grandmother and other family members old and recent. I used these pictures to show what she and the rest of my family looked like. Also when I added the Nigerian song Bi a ba njoyin by Baba Ara  to it, it pulled the whole movie together and gave a real homey personal effect.
I chose to do this story because at the time my grandmother was about to leave to go to London, and I kept thinking about how I used to be kind of mean to her at times, and I never saw how funny and adorable she is. I knew I was going to start to miss her. My other option was to do a story about my little cousin Christina, but I wanted to do her instead.
I think I did really well the final product looked better than I imagined it would. iMovie was really easy to get the hardest thing is to choose what way you want your pictures to transition and flow in the movie. Digital media was a fun class it was intriguing to make art like you see every day like magazines and movies I always wonder how the did it. I will definitely use these tools in the future like iMovie and Photoshop.
